This website (www.sweetsmilingsoul.com) is operated by Lauren Clare Weinzierl (ABN 57 585 592 297) trading as Sweet Smiling Soul (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By accessing this website or purchasing our products, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Nature of Our Products

We sell digital downloadable sewing patterns, printable templates, and related instructional content, including written instructions, illustrations, and video tutorials (“Digital Products”).

Purchasing a Digital Product grants you a licence to use the design.

You do not obtain ownership of the design or intellectual property.

Free tutorials available on YouTube or other platforms are for learning purposes only and do not grant permission to reproduce, distribute, or commercialise our patterns.

2. Licence – Personal Use Only

When you purchase a pattern you are granted a single-user, non-transferable personal use licence.

You may:

  • print the pattern for your own use
  • sew items for yourself
  • give finished items as gifts
  • donate finished items

You may NOT:

  • sell finished items made from the pattern
  • use the pattern for business or commercial purposes
  • share, copy, email, upload or redistribute the files
  • print copies for friends, classes, groups, workshops or organisations
  • modify and redistribute the design
  • upload files to Facebook groups, cloud storage, forums, or file-sharing sites
  • claim the design as your own

Each purchase is for one person only.

Commercial use is not permitted unless a separate written licence agreement is provided by us.

3. Intellectual Property

All patterns, illustrations, instructions, photographs, videos, and designs are protected by copyright law.

Unauthorised reproduction, distribution, resale, or teaching using our materials is strictly prohibited.

4. Digital Downloads & Refunds

Due to the nature of digital products:

  • No change-of-mind refunds are offered once files have been downloaded or accessed.
  • If a file is corrupted, incomplete, or inaccessible, we will provide a replacement.
  • Refunds will be provided where required under Australian Consumer Law.

5. Support

We provide support via email at hello@sweetsmilingsoul.com.

We can assist with:

  • downloading files
  • printing issues
  • understanding instructions

We cannot guarantee assistance with:

  • individual sewing skill level
  • personal equipment limitations
  • third-party software or device problems

6. Craft Safety

Our patterns involve the use of sewing machines, needles, scissors, and other tools.

You are responsible for safe operation of equipment and supervision of children when appropriate.

We are not liable for injuries resulting from use of tools or materials.

7. Pricing and Taxes

Prices may be displayed in different currencies depending on platform settings.

Taxes such as GST or VAT may be collected at checkout by Shopify, Etsy, or payment processors according to local laws.

8. User Content

If you send us photos or tag us on social media, you grant us permission to repost the content for promotional purposes unless you request otherwise.

You retain ownership of your work.

9. Termination

We may suspend or revoke access to files or services if these Terms are breached, including unauthorised sharing or commercial use.

10. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the replacement of the product or refund of the purchase price.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

Disputes will be handled in the courts of Victoria.
