What I Found While Packing Up My Sewing Room 👀

I recently packed up my sewing room in preparation for our move. It was meant to be a practical task – you know, box things up, stay focused, move on – but of course, somewhere between the fabric stash and sewing patterns, I found the box.
You might have one too – a “special box.”
The one you forget exists until you open it – and suddenly you’re 12 again, or 21, or 7 – holding a flip phone or some weird little thing you made with your tiny hands that now makes you laugh out loud.
Inside mine?
📱 My very first mobile (a classic flip phone – no camera, just a built-in old-school ringtone you might remember)
🎧 My first mp3 player
👓 A pair of reading glasses, which I thought made me look intelligent
🎨 And a very quirky handmade creation by my 7-year-old self that truly made my day
This wasn’t the video I planned to make, but it turned into something unexpectedly joyful and a little reflective.

Do you have a special box where you keep sentimental items? What’s one thing inside it that makes you smile every time you see it?
Feel free to share in the comments over on YouTube!
Next week, I’ll be starting the process of setting up my new creative space. It’s the first time that I’ll have my very own room for sewing. It’ll be a slow process setting it up completely, but I’ve got ideas and I can’t wait to share them with you!
Take care,
Lauren 🌸
