Sewing My Wedding Dress: The Most Meaningful Project of My Life 👰‍♀️✨

In 2023, I did something a little wild… I made my own wedding dress.

I wanted to be a no-fuss bride but it didn’t turn out that way.

Instead, I fussed.

A part of me thought it would be too much work – another part whispered, But what if it turns out exactly how you want?

So, I took the leap. I spent months gathering inspiration, finding patterns, choosing fabrics, and stitching it all together. And now, I’m finally sharing the process with you!

I wanted something relaxed and comfortable, and it was just that. I loved how it flowed and fanned out when I spun, and it felt so me.

I have to say, this was the best and most rewarding project of my life, and I’m super proud of myself for making it happen ☺️

Sewing this dress reminded me why I love making things with my own hands. There’s something magical about dreaming up an idea and turning it into something real – something that holds memories and meaning and is unique to you.
