Sew a Patchwork Zipper Pouch With Me 🪡

Sewing with fabric scraps is one of my favourite ways to spend an afternoon, especially when the result is something cute and practical.

In my latest video, I made a sweet little patchwork zipper pouch using leftover fabric bits from my stash. It’s designed as a sew-along, so if you’ve got scraps lying around and feel like making something with your hands, come sew with me!

The finished pouch is roughly 20 x 18cm – a great size for sewing notions, makeup, or any small treasures. I used a mix of patterned fabrics for the patchwork outer layer, cotton for the lining, and added structure with wadding and a layer of tulle on top to keep everything in place while sewing.

I was inspired by a beautiful reel I saw from @PassoaPassoCriativo on Instagram, and decided to try something similar, with my own tweaks.

This is such a satisfying little project – no need to overthink it, just play with colour, layout, and texture. It’s a lovely way to use what you already have, and I hope it inspires you to turn your scraps into something special too.

🧵 Have you made a pouch like this before, or thinking of giving this one a go? I’d love to hear how it goes if you do!
